After losing their first game of the season, a 28-14 setback to UT-Permian Basin, the Angelo State Rams are still in the top ten in the country in Division II. The Rams fell to #10 in the d2football.com poll and dropped to #12 in the AFCA coaches poll. UTPB moved to #4 in the d2football.com poll. Central Washington, who the Rams face on November 1st, are ranked #13.
The Texas Longhorns have dropped out of the AP top 25 poll for the first time since November 2022 following their loss at Florida. On Saturday, the Longhorns travel to Dallas to face #6 ranked Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl…Texas A&M jumped to No. 5 in this week’s Top 25 poll. It’s the highest ranking for the Aggies since Sept. 7, 2021. The Aggies host the Florida Gators at 6pm on Saturday…Texas Tech is in the top ten of the national rankings for the first time since December 2008 after a 5-0 start. Tech’s 5-0 start is its best since that 2013 season.
