Former J. Geils Band frontman Peter Wolf will return to live performance after more than a year off. Wolf and his band the Midnight Travelers have announced six dates starting February 13 in Fall River, Massachusetts and ending March 28 in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. Most tickets go on sale Friday, December 19, with additional shows promised. Wolf’s touring hiatus was intentional to focus on his book project. “The book really required a sabbatical,” Wolf told Billboard. “It’s like making a really good record that you’ve got to hunker down and commit to.” His memoir Waiting on the Moon: Artists, Poets, Drifters, Grifters, and Goddesses was released this year. Wolf is also working on his first album since 2016’s A Cure for Loneliness, which he says is about 80% complete. (Story URL)
