Leo Woodall has shared his preference for Oasis over The Beatles, explaining that the Manchester band is the one he listens to more often. In a recent interview, the actor said The Beatles still have an important connection to his family, but Oasis have a stronger place in his own listening habits.
Woodall also spoke warmly about Liam Gallagher, praising his presence and image as a frontman. His comments reflected a personal admiration for Gallagher rather than an attempt to rank the broader influence of the two bands.
The actor made the remarks while promoting his new film Tony. Woodall plays Sal, an oyster shucker who becomes an important figure in the early life of Anthony Bourdain. The cast also includes Dominic Sessa and Antonio Banderas.
Oasis and The Beatles remain two of the most recognizable British bands of their respective eras. For Woodall, though, the choice appears to be a simple matter of personal taste, with Oasis getting more regular play while The Beatles remain closely tied to family memories.
