Angelo State University’s Bachelor of Science in computer science degree program has been recognized and validated by the National Security Agency as an NSA Program of Study. According to ASU, the validation shows that ASU’s computer science curriculum meets standards set by the NSA and the United States Department of Defense for cybersecurity education. It also serves as the first step toward the university being designated as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense by the NSA. With the title of NSA Program of Study in hand, ASU has now set its sights on becoming a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense. The university plans to apply for the designation later this summer.
