Residents are urged to keep pets current on rabies vaccinations and avoid contact with wildlife, especially bats, raccoons, foxes, coyotes and skunks. Anyone bitten or scratched by a wild animal should seek medical attention immediately, while sick, injured or unusual-acting animals should be reported to Animal Services at 325-657-4224.
