San Angelo Police arrested a man last week for the theft of packages from
the porch of a home late last month. 43-year-old Donald Hubbard was charged with
mail theft after being caught on a homeowner’s security camera taking packages
from a front porch on November 25th in the 28 hundred block of Freeland.
He was charged with a Class A Misdemeanor for mail theft and received an
additional charge for a controlled substance. Several Police Department units were
working together to take Hubbard into custody. Police say the arrest results from a
successful partnership between residents and the Police and highlights the value of
installing crime prevention technology like the Ring Doorbell or security cameras.
