The Fort Concho National Historic Landmark will celebrate San Angelo-born movie star Fess Parker’s 100th birthday with the Fess Parker Centennial Film Festival tonight and tomorrow. The festival kicks off on August 16, Parker’s actual birthday, with a free screening of “Davy Crockett: King of the Wild Frontier” from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. On August 17, the festival continues with a showing of “Davy Crockett and the River Pirates” from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Both events will offer free drinks, popcorn, snacks, trivia quizzes, and door prizes
