Drivers in San Angelo should expect delays on Knickerbocker Road as a major intersection improvement project gets underway. TxDOT says the three inside lanes between Loop 306 and Johnson Street closed Monday and will remain closed through the duration of the construction. The project is expected to continue through fall 2026, weather permitting. Motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes during peak traffic periods. Officials say drivers should use caution when traveling through the work zone. The closure follows the schedule announced by TxDOT last week.
