The San Angelo Elks Lodge will honor local veterans and their families with a free hamburger meal following the Veterans Day parade on November 6. Meals will be served beginning at 11:30 a.m. and continue until food runs out at the lodge on South Chadbourne Street. Organizers say the event is their way of thanking veterans for their service and sacrifices. Veterans, family members, and community supporters are invited to attend. Lodge members say community service remains a major part of the organization’s mission. The event is expected to draw veterans from throughout the San Angelo area.
