Texas gasoline prices remain historically high for this time of year despite a slight decline statewide. AAA Texas reports regular unleaded is averaging $3.94 a gallon, down two cents from last week but $1.20 higher than a year ago. San Angelo motorists are paying even more, with an average of $4.10 a gallon. Texas just recorded its most expensive September on record for regular gasoline, with a monthly statewide average of $3.94. AAA says high crude oil prices and international uncertainty helped drive prices upward during September. The state’s all-time record remains $4.69 a gallon, set in June 2022.
