A San Angelo man indicted in connection with a fatal 2019 crash has been booked into jail. Twenty-eight-year-old Ismael Hinojos was arrested Tuesday on a charge of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle. Prosecutors allege Hinojos was intoxicated when he crashed into a tree on Southland Boulevard in July 2019, killing 25-year-old Amanda Soto. Police said alcohol and speed were believed to be factors in the crash. Hinojos was indicted in 2022, and an arrest warrant was recently served. He remains in the Tom Green County Jail without bond.
