San Angelo Police are investigating what they believe may be a homicide after a body was discovered Tuesday morning. Police Chief Travis Griffith says one suspect is in custody and investigators have confirmed there was a known relationship between the suspect and the victim. Authorities have identified the deceased but are withholding the name until next of kin can be notified. Griffith also addressed reports of body parts being found at a landfill but declined to provide additional details, citing the ongoing investigation. He says police do not believe there is any current threat to the public, and more information is expected during another press conference Wednesday morning.
